PRODUCT CARE

FOREVER SPARKLING

We make the jewels with 925 silver and gold plating. In some collections we also use zircons, colored stones, enamels and particular surface finishes. Plating and shine can fade over time but how quickly they do so depends on how the jewelry is treated. Like all precious things, jewels must be handled with care, otherwise they will prematurely lose their beauty and functionality. Follow these 3 simple tips and ensure a sparkling jewel for longer.

PROTECT FROM DAILY WEAR

Bumps, scratches but also external agents such as soaps, creams, cosmetics in general, chlorine, sea water and sulphurous waters, humidity, perspiration, intense exposure to the sun or heat sources, the atmosphere itself, contribute to reducing brilliance and functionality of the jewel ahead of its time.

Advice? WEAR THEM WITH LOVE.
The daily use of the jewel should exclude particularly stressful situations (sports, beauty treatments, spas, sea, swimming pool) and, in general, we recommend that you remove all jewels before going to sleep.

CLEAN GENTLY

Oxidation and the consequent blackening and loss of shine is a natural phenomenon that affects all metal surfaces. In technical terms it is called tarnish. The good news is that it can be eliminated with home cleaning, or professional cleaning in the most critical and delicate cases.

Advice? MAKE THEM SHINE.
Periodically polish your jewelery with a dedicated cloth such as Forever Sparkling: 100% cotton soaked in a specific detergent and anti-tarnish agent. Perfect on all silver jewellery, particularly suitable for those that have lost their shine. Do not wash Forever Sparkling otherwise it will lose its shine but wash your hands after using it.

STORE WITH CARE

To reduce the risk of oxidation, store your jewelery away from external agents such as direct light or humidity.

Advice? PUT THEM AWAY FROM LIGHT AND MOISTURE
The ideal would be to store each piece of jewelery in a single airtight case or bag, but you can also use a jewelery box made of quality material, equipped with compartments and slots to store jewelery in an orderly manner. Don't store your jewelry in the bathroom or kitchen where humidity could speed up the oxidation process.

The boxes are not suitable for long-term storage but if you really want to keep your jewels there, remember to let the jewels get some air by opening the boxes from time to time.

BIKINI

THINGS TO DO rinse your swimsuit after using it or wear it in the shower when you leave the pool (but without using aggressive soaps). Rinse it again by hand under cold running water after removing it. Hang it to dry in the shade or indoors and make sure it is completely dry before wearing it again. If you have swum in open water, remove any sand or dirt residues as soon as possible. Be cautious in spas or heated pools as the chemicals dissolved in them can shorten the life of your swimsuit. Sunscreens can discolor the swimsuit so avoid contact with the swimsuit itself during application.

THINGS NOT TO DO Leave your swimsuit rolled up in a towel after using it. This allows chlorine to penetrate the fabric and allows bacteria to reproduce. Wash the costume in the washing machine; washing machines and detergents can damage your costume even just once. Use an iron; high temperatures can disintegrate fabrics. If you want to get rid of any creases, rinse the swimsuit in water. Use bleach even if the costume is chlorine resistant. Any swimming suit containing polyamide or elastane (nylon or lycra) has very limited resistance to chlorinated water so needs extra care. Swimsuit manufacturers say nylon or Lycra ones last about 20 hours in a chlorinated pool, so they should be washed as quickly as possible in cold water. If you have any doubts, contact the manufacturers of your costume for specific instructions.

WASHING After each use, wash your swimming costume by hand with a mild soap and running water. Water alone cannot remove chlorine or salt. Do not use bleach. Never use the washing machine as it is too abrasive and can ruin the fabric.

DRYING To dry your swimming costume, simply hang it on a hanger indoors. If you want to hang it on a drying rack or on wires, that's fine, the important thing is not to expose it to direct sunlight as the colors will fade more quickly. Avoid using a dryer as it ruins the fabrics and causes a loss of elasticity.

JEWEL BIKINI SPECIFIC CARE:

Many bikinis were made for MODERATE use IN water.

Due to HIGH levels of SALT WATER IN THE SEA and chlorine IN POOLS, use with prolonged exposure IS UNDER YOUR OWN RESPONSIBILITY AND discretion.

Be careful when applying lotions, oils, sunscreens as they WILL DAMAGE your SWIMSUIT.

DO NOT : iron, tumble dry, BLEACH, machine wash or dry clean, INCLUDING the hand wash setting in the washing machine.

WASH: wash by hand with cold water and neutral soap (E.G. DETERGENT for underwear or swimsuits).

DRYING: It is recommended to gently dry the metal parts with a clean towel immediately after rinsing, to avoid any oxidation.

LAY OUT IN THE SHADE ON A FLAT SURFACE, do not wring or stress the costume, to prevent the fabric from stretching and there being a color transfer.

As with any other handmade accessory, MANY JEWELRY DOES NOT come glued and may come loose; we can supply replacement crystals as long as they are still available if this were to occur.
